Felis is a genus of cats in the family Felidae.
The genus is composed of these species:
Chinese Mountain Cat, Felis bieti
Jungle Cat, Felis chaus
Pallas's Cat, Felis manul
Sand Cat, Felis margarita
Black-footed Cat, Felis nigripes
Wildcat, Felis silvestris
However, the understanding of Felidae phylogenetic relationships is changing rapidly. These are a few of the species that were, until recently, considered to be a part of this genus:
Caracal, Caracal caracal
Ocelot, Leopardus pardalis
Margay, Leopardus wiedii
